Bulgaria’s largest rock and metal festival, Hills of Rock, is gearing up for its highly anticipated sixth edition, set to take place on July 25, 26, and 27, 2025, at the breathtaking Plovdiv Rowing Canal. Nestled in Europe’s oldest city, the festival has become a must-visit destination for rock and metal fans worldwide, bringing together legendary bands, rising stars, and an electrifying atmosphere.
The Smashing Pumpkins, Machine Head, Gojira, Sepultura, Extreme, Skunk Anansie, Static-X, While She Sleeps, Landmvrks, Rise Of The Northstar, As Everything Unfolds, Wolfmother and Vukovi – and that’s not all! Hills of Rock has solidified its reputation as one of the most important music festivals in Eastern Europe, attracting thousands of fans each year. The venue, Plovdiv’s Rowing Canal, offers spacious festival grounds, featuring:

The festival takes place in Plovdiv, a city with over 6,000 years of history and a unique blend of ancient Roman ruins, vibrant nightlife, and cultural landmarks. Just a hundred kilometers from Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, Plovdiv is easily accessible and offers plenty to explore before and after the festival.
